Architectural Review Application

Please keep these items in mind as per the Protective Covenants for Holland Hills at Basalt, Pitkin County
amended July 12, 1996:
  • All structures shall comply with Pitkin County Zone District restrictions.
  • All structures will be completed within 18 month from date of commencement of construction (unless an extension is granted by the Architectural Control Committee).
  • No structure, fence, wall or other construction shall be commenced, erected or altered until the exterior elevations, and plot plan, which include structural design, proposed materials, textures and colors have first been approved by the Architectural Control Committee (ACC). In the event said members of the ACC fail to approve or disapprove within 30 days of receipt of said elevations and plot plan, then such approval will not be required and it shall be deemed that this restriction has been fulfilled. All plans disapproved shall be accompanied by a statement in writing setting forth the reasons for such disapproval.
  • For additional information and a complete list of guidelines, please refer to the Protective Covenants.
  • Additionally use Pitkin Country web site and sage.gov for any and all county building info

The ACC requires that a building permit issued by Pitkin County is obtained for any new construction prior to commencement of construction.

Any approval by express grant of the ACC or by the passing of time after submittal for review, is conditioned upon the owner receiving approval from Pitkin County Planning Department and a building permit from Pitkin County.

Please submit requests using the form below along with the required documents listed above and any
photographs or information that will aid the ACC with their decision. If the submittal is an issue from this page just send an email to [email protected] with above requirements and we will respond quickly.
